Hello, I'm Paul.
I am a third-year Solar Physics Ph.D. student studying the heating of non-flaring/micro-flaring active regions under the supervision of Dr Iain Hannah and Dr Alexander MacKinnon, within the
Astronomy & Astrophysics group in the
SUPA School of Physics and Astronomy at the
University of Glasgow, U.K.
I obtained my undergraduate masters degree (MPhys Astrophysics with Year Abroad) from the University of Southampton where I was fortunate enough to spend time observing at Teide Observatory (the photograph above is of the THÉMIS Solar observatory located at Teide Observatory). I spent the final year of my undergraduate degree at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics undertaking a yearlong research project; I also attended Astrophysics 253: Plasma Astrophysics at Harvard University.
You can find my publications on The SAO/NASA ADS. I am also a member of LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and have ResearcherID and ORCID profiles. If you would like to know more about my research feel free to contact me using the contact details at the bottom of this page or alternatively find me @pauljwright.
